Girl Drama! (Middle School Girls’ Group)

• Wednesdays 5:30 - 7:00, starting October 11 (includes pizza dinner)

• Group meets at Shir Hadash, 20 Cherry Blossom Lane, Los Gatos

• Group size is limited to 6 girls, with 2 adult facilitators

Our 10 week group will focus on:

• Noticing and describing one’s own feelings, managing strong emotions, speaking up for oneself, interpreting non-verbal cues, understanding intentions, and showing empathy

• Reciprocal conversation skills that include active listening, perspective taking, disagreeing effectively, and problem solving

• Coping with exclusion or betrayal by friends, managing feelings of jealousy and envy, and handling lying and gossip

• Navigating social media including hurtful posts

In addition to discussion, groups include creative art projects, games, role plays, and activities that are designed to reinforce learning and build self-esteem
